Slasher style dreams of being chased. All people involved in something, comedy routine I think, killed by stabbing one by one. Killer keeps coming back to finish them off. I’m the last one left, I’ve had a few near misses. I’m not that afraid until I become aware of how close I’ve come. In the dream once I see what’s happening to everyone else, i remember being downstairs the night before and being in the bathroom but someone had broke in. They were lying in wait for me outside the bathroom evidently. I didn’t know though ans something obviously scared them off before I came out. But I had noticed someone had been inside and so when I saw what was happening to everyone else (targeted stabbing, leaving no one on the list/ in the group behind), i knew someone had been in ans i had had a really close call. Before that, I didn’t even feel like a real target and wasn’t sure I’d locked both doors (doors laid out like downstairs in Fairfield, side door and back door), even though the room was different. But the layout was the same. I woke up just as I was walking upstairs - at this stage it became Fairfield - ans the lights went off outside except for a flashlight peering through the glass window of the back door (I had literally just locked the side door but the back door was locked) meaning I knew he was there. I went up the stairs and then woke up.
This dream can be interpreted as a reflection of feelings of vulnerability and fear in your waking life. The slasher style and being chased represents a sense of danger or threat that you feel is constantly pursuing you.
The fact that all the people involved in the dream, possibly representing aspects of your life or inner selves, are killed one by one suggests a fear of losing connections or losing control over certain aspects of your life.
Your awareness of being the last one left and having had a few near misses indicates that you may feel somewhat protected or invulnerable, but as the dream progresses, you become more aware of the danger and realize that you had actually come close to being harmed.
The image of someone breaking into your house and lying in wait suggests a hidden threat or intrusion in your personal space. The fact that they were scared off before you came out of the bathroom implies that you may have narrowly avoided a potentially harmful situation in real life, which triggers your increased awareness and fear in the dream.
The mention of doors and locks symbolizes your desire for security and protection in your waking life. The layout of the doors in your dream corresponds to your subconscious association of safety and familiarity with the Fairfield location.
The dream ends with you walking upstairs, representing a desire to escape or rise above the threatening situation. The darkness outside and the flashlight peering through the back door indicate that the danger is still present and close by.
Overall, this dream suggests that you may have underlying fears and concerns about your safety, vulnerability, and the potential for hidden threats in your life. It may be beneficial for you to assess your surroundings and take steps to enhance your sense of security and protection.
